Due to the high cost of unexpected accidents, illness, or injury, all students are strongly encouraged to carry health insurance. Health insurance is mandatory for all international students.
Regardless of your medical insurance status, as an enrolled CSUMB student you are eligible for "Basic" health services at the CHC at no additional cost. Other medical services are provided at discounted rates. The CHC is your primary care provider and can bill most PPO insurance carriers. When necessary, the CHC will refer you to a specialist to met your medical needs.
Unfortunately, the CHC is NOT a retail pharmacy so we are unable to sell over-the-counter medications or devices (other than standard condoms) and can ONLY refill prescriptions that were originally prescribed at this clinic.
